Pretend it’s 1978. Are music videos any sort of common medium whatsoever during that time period? No, they’re not. And yet even back then, Kate Bush still was making her first music videos. Not just any videos, but fucking WEIRD ones with mime and modern dance and smoke everywhere. Kate mesmerized viewers from the start with her British music video for her first hit single “Wuthering Heights,” which, yes, IS a song based on the book. Don’t let the title scare you away, though — I’m pretty sure the song and video aren’t as long OR as boring as the Brontë novel.
